Course Description:

This course is an introductory course for programming that teaches the fundamental basics of understanding how variables, iterations, and functions can be used to design computer programs.

Throughout this course, we will cover topics such as variables which contain data, Boolean logic to make decisions using variables, loops to iterate and repeat processes, and functions to easily reuse blocks of code.

Students will create their own programs to practice the ideas taught throughout this course and will complete a variety of engaging projects to solidify these principles. Some projects included will be creating images through code, creating a rock paper scissors simulation, and their own implementation of the classic snake chasing apples game. We will meet twice a week for an hour and a half each class for five weeks.
